Converting machine operator
The converting machine operator is involved in converting corrugated board into packaging (die-cutting, folding, printing, boxes). They must be familiar with packaging ranges and the various printing techniques, and prepare the materials needed for manufacture, as well as the equipment required for the process (die-cutting formats, plates, inks, etc.).
"My aim is to check the quality and manage the productivity of a cardboard conversion. I've been with the company for a year now. I started with a temporary permanent contract. I was taken on to train as a driver's assistant. After a year's training, I was taken on directly. Cardboard is very important in today's world, to eliminate plastic as much as possible. It's always innovative, it's always changing, it's never the same thing. That's why I love this job."
